Key Benefits of Cleaning Roof Mold
- Reduced FPL bill. Air conditioning during a Southern Californian summer can eat through your wallet in a New York second. A clean roof reflects the sun's heat which in turn can reduce your air conditioning electrical bill.
- Extend your roof's life. Proper cleaning actually extends your roof life. Mold is a living organism that has ideal growing conditions in Southern California. Its only purpose is to reduce organic matter (its food) to a substance that we will call "dirt". In other words, mold is actually chemically EATING the organic portions of your roof. Periodic cleanings, using the proper means, will reduce the need to replace your existing roof.

How can I tell if my shingled roof needs to be cleaned?If you have a shingled roof that looks like it has dark colored streaks ... it needs to be cleaned. These streaks may be across the entire roof or just located in shaded areas. Example: under tree limbs. It's very easy to see when your roof is wet after a rain.
Also look at the bathroom roof stack-pipes. A very dirty roof will have a clean (natural roof color) streak just below that lead stack-pipe. The streak is the result of rainwater running down your roof (having picked up trace amounts of lead) after it washed past the metal stack. The trace amounts of lead are deposited on the shingles, which in turn kills mold growth.
Rule of thumb: if you have not had your roof cleaned in the last 2 years ... call us. It's time to get it cleaned.

High-Pressure Roof Cleaning for flat concrete tile, S-tile and barrel tile
